Delightful hosts. Unusual room. The one window looks toward the sea but as it is a basement location, the view is mostly looking up at the sky. That said, the room is lovely. The bathroom is ....an experience (absolutely not negative). It is hard to beat the location and the hosts were very generous wit help in finding restaurants, etc. Lots in walking distance.

5 Grand Parade has one of the finest sea front locations on the East Sussex coast built in 1830. It was was once a bakery, then the headquarters of one of the main Suffragette branches in S E England, and was then the home of Edith Bowerman, an important local figure and a survivor of the Titanic. Come and enjoy our luxurious and romantic double bedroom apartment with lounge area, designer shower/wet room in a grand sea front house with its own private entrance directly from the esplanade. The separate entrance is situated in a beautiful sun well where you can sit and relax and enjoy the flowers and the sound of the sea. You can have your breakfast served here in the summer or one floor up in a beautiful large and homely space is looking at panoramic breathtaking sea views! Twice a year we run residential art workshops in the Suffragette Hall in this extraordinary house – one of the very few remaining properties on the sea front to still be one single property. We love our home not just because of the great view of the beach just 50 yards away but because we can cross the road and swim in one of the cleanest seas on the South Coast!
5 Grand Parade is my home. I live above the apartment and love to enjoy the many delights of this vibrant, artistic and beautiful part of the East Sussex coast. I run a very relaxed ship and the house has a shabby chic vibe mixed with grand proportions! An incentive for art lovers would be the terrific Titanic Arts club Studio and Gallery which is in my home. Whatever your tastes or requirements, I am normally about in the house and available for guidance.
The apartment is 5 mins walk from Warrior Square Station. St Leonards grand and beautiful architecture has attracted artists who have made a wonderful mark on the area. There are excellent sea food and Italian restaurants seconds away along the sea front. The neighbourhood has numerous antique shops, cafes, performance spaces and art galleries of St Leonards. You can hire bicycles and paddleboards from a shop just round the corner. There is always something to do. Our favourite is visiting the quirky grand Kino cinema nights and theatre spaces. There are some smashing local activities - for example the sailing club is only a few hundred yards away!It's a short walk to explore Bexhill and Hastings where you will find many festivals entertainments and varied daily attractions for every age group.
