Our beautifully renovated farmhouse and adjoining gite enjoy a private 1 acre garden edged by a stream and woodland. In the garden we provide swings, badminton, swingball, and other play equipment, plus some small kids' bikes. Your own eating/barbecue area overlooks the grassy play lawn so you can enjoy a glass of wine in comfort while supervising the kids. The gite has been very recently renovated by ourselves, and we are available on site to answer any queries and provide advice and recommendations about the area. Inside, we have maintained as many original features as possible, such as the beautiful beams, and exposed stonework, but have installed a modern kitchen, Wifi and satellite TV, and central heating, though you are also free to use the woodburning stove. If you have children, we have plenty of toys on hand, plus board games, books, TV in English and French and an excellent Wifi connection.

Originally from Jersey, we have lived in Plomodiern with our two little girls for three years. We fell in love with the beautiful, uncrowded beaches and unspoilt coastline which we found in the area, and decided to live here permanently. We have made friends and enjoy a peaceful way of life, making the most of the wonderful beaches when work permits. We truly feel we have found a little slice of heaven!

Our gite is located in an idylic part of Finistere, boasting a varied coastline of sandy beaches, rockpools, craggy cliffs and secluded coves, still unspoilt and far less built up than many other parts of Brittany. To find such beautiful, family friendly beaches still relatively undiscovered is a rare thing indeed, and we feel privileged to be able to offer holiday accommodation in this wonderful and special area. We are part of a tiny hamlet called Leskobet, proud guardians of the St Corentin Chapel which is a local pilgrimage site and connects to a network of walking routes leading to majestic views at the Menez Hom, highest point in Finistere. The mythical stream of St Corentin runs through our garden and feeds eventually into the Odet River at Quimper. We are proud of our local village, Plomodiern. Not only does it boast splendid sea views, house several restaurants and bakeries, and have a bustling market each Friday, it is also host to the annual Fete De Menez Hom in August, when locals dressed in Breton costumes parade through the streets together with Breton dancers from all of the regions of Brittany
