Our house in the heart of the charming village of Maureillas is an ideal base for a relaxed and stress free holiday. Whether you prefer to relax under the dappled shade of the olive tree, play on the lawn or soak up the sun on the terraces, the outdoor spaces can cater for everyone. A restaurant, bar and village shops are a short stroll away, larger shops are a five minute drive away in the market town of Ceret. A simming lake is less than a 10 minute drive, wonderful beaches are a 25 minute drive or you can be in the high mountains in half an hour. Walking, hiking and montain biking are all on the doorstep with a range of paths and trails through the cork oak forests. Perfect for families or small groups at any time of year. Please be aware that the house has 3 flights of stairs.

Hi We are Hazel and Ade, freelance artists living here in Maureillas after making the move from Manchester, England in 2002. When the opportunity came up to buy and restore another lovely traditional French village home we jumped at the chance and, after a couple of years hard labour, it’s great to welcome new guests to experience this fantastic place. We have rented lots of houses for our own holidays, learning loads along the way about what makes a good home for both family vacations and group getaways. We’ve kept all this in mind whilst renovating and are really happy with the results, come and see for yourself!
