I am a 63 year-old Belgian lady, who has literally fallen in love with Flavigny, her architecture, her calm, her serenity ... and the house, bought with the intuition of having arrived at the place where I had to come one day. An unforeseen and extraordinary meeting. The house is located at the end of a square courtyard, former dependence of the Saint-Pierre Abbey located opposite, a courtyard in which I could buy two other houses also transformed into lodgings presented on several sites such as Booking, Airbnb ... (The Piano, the Court, and in the village, the Stone House which is located in the heart of the village next to the house where was filmed Chocolate with Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp).

Rare: beautiful cottage with good piano quarter tail granted. It is not a bed and breakfast but an entire house for 4 people. I do not propose breakfast or meals. The bed linen and towels are optional at extra charge if really necessary. The minimum stay is 3 nights excluding high season and overnight in high season. Very nice house, renovated with great care and super equipped. Orientation: due south, the yard common to the houses is a very pleasant garden in summer. This is not a parking! As part of a unique architectural ensemble, the house is part of former outbuildings of the Abbaye Saint-Pierre, in the medieval village of Flavigny-Sur-Ozerain where was filmed "The Chocolate" with Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp . This cottage was completely renovated in the style "Loft" in 2016. It offers a particularly comfortable and spacious accommodation for 4 people.

Flavigny-sur-Ozerain is one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France .. Strolling its winding streets and imposing ramparts, with breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys, is an enchantment of the eyes but also the nostrils, tickled by the smell of anis distilled by the Fabrique des Anis de Flavigny in the former Saint-Pierre Abbey. From early December to mid-January, an exhibition of crèches on the windows of the average houses gives the village a magical Christmas atmosphere and transports the walker out of time. In addition to the guided tours of the village and that of the Carolingian crypt of St. Peter's Abbey, one can enter the church of Saint-Genest to admire beautiful stalls and the Smiling Angel with such a sweet expression. The abbey Saint Joseph of Clairval shelters Benedictine monks, and a seminary is installed in the village. As for the Flavigny forest, on the edge of the village, it offers wonderful walks in all seasons. You should not go far for other remarkable discoveries: the Burgundy Canal and its bike rides 5 km, the MuseoParc d'Alise Sainte Reine, in particular.
