Phillipe (owner) is a real character. He was friendly, helpful and quirky (which we liked). The property is an eco-farm and has a magnificent rose garden, heaps of fig trees, over 1300 olive trees and a wide range of other fruit trees and vegetable gardens. All teh breakfast items were homemade and/or grown on the farm. The swimming pool was open (it was October) and we enjoyed cooling off each afternoon and having a refreshing dip each mornings. Upon learning that I was a keen runner, Phillipe showed me the track that runs along the water channel at the rear of the property. The channel and track goes all the way into St Remy de Provence (about 3kms) and for many kms in the other direction. It was a much better option than running on the narrow roads.

The Mas des Figues is located in the countryside, in the heart of the Alpilles Nature Park, 3.5 km from the town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. About the ECOLOGY housekeeping policies of the Philippe Farm Guest House we dont clean rooms occupied by the same guest for multiple days, except on request.
