Our apartment the 'Glycine' sits on the first floor of our cobbled courtyard stone building. It was originally the stable block for the 'gendarmie' that was on the site of what is the chateau and has been converted into a modern apartment. The chateau dates from 1850 but the stone building that houses the Glycine is much older. There is electric heating and a wood burning stove in the sitting area. Bedrooms are carpeted, kitchen has floor tiles and bathrooms are also tiled. There are 2 bathrooms, 1 is an ensuite the 2nd is shared between 2 bedrooms. All the bedrooms have double beds, 2 of them overlook the courtyard and the enclosed garden; the 3rd overlooks the rear of the property and our private lane to the back fields some windows have electric shutters. This is a very quiet spacious apartment, with a modern kitchen with a sitting area of 2 sofas and tv. Again the view is over the courtyard and towards the chateau. In the courtyard there are outdoor chairs, tables and bbq. The whole property is off the main road, behind stone walls, with 2 entrances that provide privacy and security. There is also a park and gardens for sitting and walking around.

We moved to France a number of years ago with our children and have been doing bed & breakfast and holiday accommodation for the past 16 years. This is a great place to holiday for people of all ages, with or without children as there are so many activities and sights to see and you can get a real feel of France and French life. We love the peace and quiet of the countryside as well as having all amenities very closeby and easy access to other areas in this department. If you love good food, wine, walking, golfing, horse-riding, water sports these are all in our area and we are happy to share our knowledge of these on your holiday. You can also immerse yourself in French culture by doing just what the french do while they are on holiday with us, meet and make new friends. We can help you plan your holiday whether it is a particular activity, places you want to visit or simply to relax, soak in the wonderful weather and enjoy the French way of life in this beautiful part of Normandy. The summer is lovely but spring and autumn are also amazing with the changing of the seasons clearly visible in the changing customs of the french and the countryside and nature.
