La Bastide des Amouriers is a capacious Provençal Mas (farmhouse) that started its history at the beginning of the 19th century as a multipurpose mansion combining residential dwelling with agricultural functions. Converted into a guest house at the turn of the 20th century, La Bastide stands in four acres of grounds surrounded by countryside and fields on the outskirts of Caumont Sur Durance, a typical small market town a few miles from Avignon. Les Amouriers designates Mulberry trees in local Occitane dialect. Mulberry tree leaves were used to feed silk worms on the countless silk-producing farms that were. Sophie and Uri; we met in London, fell in love and settled in Paris, Sophie’s native town. As is the case for many of us, corporate life had shown its tedious limitations and our children flew the nest. Thus, we decided to put our hosting talents and culinary aspirations to the test; we chose to settle in Provence, where the weather suits our clothes. We both adore to entertain, meet and mingle. When staying with us, guests can modulate the extent of our hospitality; we like to make you feel welcome, without being intrusive.

On the 1st floor of our Provençal Mas there are : - 5 comfortable rooms with their private bathrooms and individual air conditioning. - The west wing of La Bastide des Amouriers houses an independent apartment comprising a large living room with open plan kitchen/dining space opening onto the garden and the vast, south-facing stone clad terrace, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with individual air conditioning. -At the east end of the principal terrace, the independent cottage equiped with air conditioning has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a spacious living room with an open plan kitchen giving onto a private terrace.
