Please note the 'Communitae de Taize' is 500km away in Burgundy. A warm welcome awaits you from Susan and Peter at our lovingly restored farmhouse, set in a peaceful, village just around the corner from Chateau d'Oiron; and 15 minutes away from the town of Thouars with several good restaurants. We offer 3 rooms, individually personalised to a very high level of quality and design. Our rooms are en suite, with bespoke king size or twin beds and luxurious bedding. We offer a luxury continental breakfast in our bright and welcoming breakfast room. A range of home made produce is offered, and the finest artisan breads from our village boulangerie. There is a reception room at your disposal with a lounge area. We have a large garden with outdoor seating and wonderful views across the neighbouring countryside. Free wifi is available in all bedrooms and common areas for your convenience. .We can offer free limited parking on a first come first serve basis, but there is also plenty of free parking in the village square just 50 metres away.

We enjoy welcoming new guests and making that extra effort to make them feel at home. A fresh cup of coffee/tea and home made cake sets the level of quality. Peter is a keen carpenter, and has made many of the beautiful furniture pieces around the house to the very highest standards. He is also responsible for the delicious jams at breakfast; made from fruits from our own garden. Susan is an Art and Design teacher, and has decorated and adorned the rooms with beautiful colours and furnishings including Laura Ashley and Annie Sloan.

Our village offers a boulangerie, grocery store, pharmacy and of course, the Chateau to visit. We even have a Vigneron next door where you can enjoy wine tasting, and purchase delicious wines at very reasonable prices. There are lovely walks around the village into the countryside, and you can hire electric bicycles from our village garage. We are only a 15 minute drive to the main town of Thouars. We are surrounded by some delightful villages and a vast range of activities surround us to please all.
