The OVO Network team’s opinion - Chalet L’Ours Blanc is a ski-in ski-out chalet only 30 metres away from the slopes, and a short 5 minute walk from the centre of the village. With two double bedrooms, one twin and one bunkbed room, the chalet offers the perfect setting for two families with children of a similar age travelling together. The main living space offers two seating areas, where you can make use of the TV and DVD player, or unwind in front of the log fire. You won’t waste a minute getting to the slopes at Chalet L’Ours Blanc - just ski down to the ski lift! It's so easy you can even pop back to your chalet for lunch. From Chinaillon you can ski the whole of the Massif Aravis - 220km of pistes - on one ski pass. The resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand are linked by ski bus, so you’ll never be stuck for a lift home. There are plenty of cross-country ski trails in the Bouchet valley, as well as several routes from Chinaillon village. Beginners in this sport will love the Evo Nordic Park, which has a circuit featuring a variety of terrains, while boarders will appreciate the Snowpark. Non-skiers can go ice-skating or swimming in La Clusaz, where the heated indoor and outdoor pools are open all year round, or try snowshoeing, sledging, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. But the mountains aren't just for winter - there's plenty to do and discover in the summer too. A network of walking and biking trails cover the mountains, and you can pick up a route map for either at the tourist office. There’s a fantastic swimming pool complex in Le Grand Bornand, with a restaurant and grassy areas for picnics.
