Offering a hot tub during the ski season, Chalet F'Net is located a 10-minute drive from Saint-Gervais-les-Bains in the Rhône-Alps Region. Les Plancerts Ski Lift, part of Les Houches Ski Area, is 350 metres from the property. This Savoyard-style chalet has a lime-washed en-suite master bedroom on the ground floor and an attic bedroom with an antique copper bath. There is also an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with a rotating log burner, and a terrace leading directly from the middle floor equipped with a charcoal-burning barbeque. A chef service is available upon request and can provide traditional local cuisine or fusion-style food. In the winter, the area is popular for skiing and snow sports and in the summer, guests can enjoy hiking and quad biking. Concierge services are available in the ski season, in addition to a chauffeur service to drive guests the last 400 metres to the property, which is not accessible by a car in the show. St. Gervais Ski Lift is 1.6 km from Chalet F'Net, while Le Bettex - St. Gervais Ski Lift is 3.9 km away. Free private parking is available on site.

This beautiful former shepherd's house is off the beaten track and in the middle of glorious mountain scenery. During the late Spring, Summer & Autumn the chalet can be accessed by guests who have a 4 x 4 vehicle. During the snowy season, any vehicle with snow tyres/chains is normally able to get from St Gervais to the communal car park. The local commune organises regular snow plough clearances of the tarmac road. From the car park there is a steep unmade track approximately 400m in length. During the ski season, the chalet gardien/caretaker will come to the car park with a specialist, tracked snow machine to collect guests and their luggage. The chalet itself is nestled in a hectare of woodland and has its own section of former ski piste [great for powder skiing home form the Les Houches slopes]. We offer a full-time gardien in the adjacent mazot, a specialist group snow vhicle, a wood-burning hot tub, and flexi-catering [for a minimum of 4 guests]. It promises to be a blast of a season!
We have always loved fabulous and stylish properties, but we really rolled our sleeves up in 2003 when we built our home in London, a unique curved house featured on Channel 4's Grand Designs. Since then we have stayed with quirky, prize-winning properties, building an eco-house with stables and indoor pool adjacent to Richmond Park, and a converted barn in a private forest in Wales. We added a canvas orb tree tent amongst the pines at the side of the river, as seen on Channel 4's Amazing Spaces, as well as the world first Earth and Moon Conkers, and 2 seaside properties in Pembrokeshire. The chalet and its mazot is our most remote venture, representing almost 2 years of hard slog at altitude! There were times in early 2015 when the only way to get building supplies to the chalet was by dragging them up the mountain by sledge. The chalet has been the subject of several French magazines and television programmes, including France 5's La Maison.
If you love Nature, you will be coming to the right place, whatever the time of year. If mountain sports are your thing, you are in the thick of it, from skiing to parapenting, to rafting and mountain biking.... For those with more urban tastes, St Gervais is a small town with a sophisticated-feel, whilst Chamonix and Megeve are within half an hour's drive. If you need a bigger metropolitan fix, head to Geneva, just an hour away by car. Alternatively, take the Mont Blanc tunnel and head to Italy, be it Courmayeur, Aosta or Turin and Milan beyond.
