Villa Porkka was originally built for a family living and its location is not far away from the main shopping area with big markets. At the same time it is not too far from winter time visitors' activities like skiing, skating and husky safaries. The nearby lake makes it possible to fish both during the winter and in particular summer time fly fishing, spinning or simple angling. A rowing boat (just 200 meters away) will be available for guests to use should their wish so. Even fishing nets will be provided on request. I myself am well traveled all around the world. In connection of my professional duties over 30 years as an international civil servant I visited some 50 countries and thereby can offer my personal experiences as a traveler and a stranger in a foreign country.
