With over 320 days of sunshine a year, the Costa Blanca is a fantastic region to visit all year round. Like so many of us, birds are especially keen on the warm climate, migrating south for winter. They come to join the resident flamingos on one of the vast inland salt lakes. Salt lakes are said to have healing properties, and the mud baths are a popular attraction for both locals and holidaymakers. Motorbikers and cyclists will be in their element as there are some spectacular roads to explore with mountain passes, swooping lake side roads and beautiful coastal routes.
