Miami Platja is one of the main tourist destinations on the Costa Dorada, mainly on account of its 12 kilometers of beaches. The beaches here are long and sandy, and there are also smaller, more peaceful coves. You can practice water sports such as windsurfing, underwater fishing and water skiing. Horse riding and golf are other activities available in the region. Porquerola beach: This narrow and extensive beach, more than 2.5 km long, is located on the outskirts of Miami, with hardly any buildings. It is characterized mainly by its perfect combination of the sea and a natural and wild environment. You can sunbathe and swim in the calm, clean waters. As it is the least touristy and also because it is so narrow, you can be close to the shore without being surrounded by other people. To get there you have to walk along some easy but somewhat remote, although very pretty, paths. In the afternoons it is common to see small groups of fishermen trying their luck with the rod.
