Ray and Sheila’s goal was always to make a home for their children, as well as a home away from home for their guests. They knew about the accommodation on the island, having had stayed in various shoebox-sized self-catering accommodation two years earlier, whilst considering whether to live on the island, because that was all that was available at the time. La Bodega Casa Rural was officially opened to the public with a lot of fanfare and traditional Canarian dancing in 2004. If you want to be far enough from the madding crowd, enjoy a relaxing holiday, but close enough to the available facilities, the beautiful beaches, golf courses, spectacular scenery and Canarian way of life. Then this could be your ideal holiday destination. La Bodega Casa Rural, offers four cottages that can be rented on a weekly basis individually or collectively, dependent on your requirements.

La Bodega Casa Rural has four rural self-catering country cottages with a heated pool. "Adults only" (NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN).This rural accommodation in the south of Tenerife has been lovingly restored from an old wine bodega and farmhouse to a very high standard, retaining the original stonework and tiles. There are relaxing and attractive gardens with all kinds of semi-tropical plants, sun loungers, barbecue, patio areas and an overall spacious feeling. If you are looking for something different from the usual holiday hotel or complex and would like to relax and enjoy the tranquility of San Miguel yet be only fifteen minutes from the airport, golf courses and beaches then La Bodega Casa Rural cottages could be for you. The property is on three levels, the entrance from the street which encloses the parking area reception and top garden. This leads to an archway and a ramp that takes you to the courtyard with a fountain,where the cottages are located. The lower level is accessed by steps to the pool and the gardens. Shops, restaurants, bars, banks are just a few minutes walk from La Bodega. This accommodation is for adults only (not suitable for children)

La Bodega is far enough away from the major tourist areas but close enough to enjoy the facilities. If you play golf there are two golf courses, Golf del Sur and Amarilla Golf just 15 minutes away. The principle tourist areas of the south, Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos with their superb beaches are no more than 20 minutes away the delightful El Medano with kite and wind surfing just 15 minutes away, not forgetting the pine forests, mountains and Canarian villages that are on our doorstep. There are four spacious self-catering cottages named after flowers, Bougainvillea, Frangipani, Jasmine and Hibiscus. They all have typical Canarian high wooden ceilings. Each cottage is unique with different styles, furnishings and fabrics. They have fully fitted kitchens with ovens, microwaves, fridges, crockery, utensils, irons and ironing boards, satellite television/ radio with DVD and safes. All are furnished to a high standard. The bathrooms have bath/shower, w.c. bidet, wash basin, towels and hairdryers, everything you will need to make this your perfect holiday home. There are three double bedrooms & one twin bedroomed cottage. The choice of cottages is based on availability.
