The important community of Muro is located at the north of Mallorca and is divided in two areas, Muro Village and Playa de Muro. You are about 10 minutes drive from village to the beach. Muro is bordered to the southeast by Santa Margarita Village, in the south of Maria de la Salut village, in the southwest of Llubí village, in the west of Sa Pobla village, in the north of Alcudia and on the northeast by the Mediterranean sea. It has an area of 55.4 km² and 7000 residents. The small hill on which the village of Muro is located, is habited since prehistoric times. This hill made the village as early as the Roman period as a good surveillance point of the sea. This village has the S'Albufera de Muro, which is now a natural park. A large part of the beach has been preserved in a natural state which is very reach in birds and all kind of ecological and biological activity.
