The condo at the Casa Ortensia is situated in Magadino, the first village at the lake in the Gambarogno area. The modern equipped accommodation is on the ground floor and has been newly renovated. Surrounded by lush vegetation a big patio that has direct access from the kitchen is awaiting you to enjoy the outside. BBQ included. Bedding/Towels are included. The condo with its 58m2 comes with a big and fully equipped kitchen. The bedroom has a double bed with 1.80m width. The living room has a dining area that provides enough space for 4 people, and the sleeping couch provides room for two more people. A baby travel bed (up to max. 15 kg) will be provided free of charge if needed. Likewise, a high chair is available. The bathroom has a tub with a modern sink with drawers, bathroom cabinet and washer. A dryer is available in the yard under the carport. Parking is provided next to the house. Whoever is not bothered by the train that goes by the house every now and then, and still decides to stay at this condo, may listen to the sound of water of the stream, that goes by the side of the house. It sure is relaxing. The train doesn't go by that often though.

I am Jacqueline Riscen and was born in Basel/Switzerland. I'm married and have children. After living in America for many years, me and my family returned to Switzerland. Since birth the Tessin is my second home. The house, that once was a chapel belongs to my dad. It is a typical stone house, Italian style, with two apartments. Over the years I made many memories at that place and even more are being made with our children. Our passion to the south, the openness of the people, the southern vegetation and the Italian cuisine are all the things, we would like to introduce you to. It means a lot to me and my family to make your stay as comfortable as possible and we hope, to provide you with that southern feeling we love so much. I am fluent in German and English and am able to communicate in French.

The beach of Magadino is 1 km from the house. Only a few steps away you can reach the Bolla/preserve area, which is very inviting for strolls or hikes along the river "Ticino". Close by (still in Magadino) there are pony rides and miniature golf. The pony rides have to be booked in advance though. In Quartino there is also a Bowling Center. Two big highlights are the jazz festival in Ascona, and the film festival in Locarno, which take place during the summer. You can reach the outdoor markets in Canobbio and Luino in 30 minutes by car. Other trips: tobacco factory in Brissago - Falconeria in Locarno _ Cimetta above Locarno (accessible by Madonna del Sasso rail) > amazing view - Indemini (beautiful mountain village) - Grotto (typical Italian style restaurant)
