The location is perfect for hiking and reconnecting with nature. The place is calm and the rooms are cozy, clean and spacious. Annie was a lovely host, she adapted to every little request that we had, making our stay wonderful. The breakfast was delicious, her different home made jams were incredible. We will be back for sure!

This elegant bed and breakfast offers modern rooms with flat-screen satellite TV, a minibar and a seating area. Het Groote Genoegen is perfectly located for enjoying nature in the area near the Eifel National Park at the German border. Het Groote Genoegen features free WiFi, a library and a spacious garden with a terrace and a fishing pond. A minibar, coffee/tea making facilities and a balcony come as standard in the rooms at B&B Het Groote Genoegen. Each room has unique décor and a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer and toiletries. A bathrobe and slippers are also provided. All rooms have a garden view. Guests can enjoy a continental breakfast with regional home made products each morning during their stay. The bed and breakfast offers a packed lunch service for those who wish to explore the local area. The property is situated in the heart of the High Fens Nature Reserve, and the surrounding area is fit for hiking and cycling tours, but also for motor bikers. Het Groote Genoegen provides a secured storage room for bicycles and motorcycles. Free hiking and cycling maps are offered. In the winter the area is ideal for cross country skiing. Bütgenbach Lake and Sankt-Vith are 20 km away. Stavelot Abbey is located a 23-minutes' drive from the property. Free parking is included.

The B & B is situated in a protected nature reserve and has a garden of approximately 1 hectare. Only drawback is that you can only get here with a car.
People come here to enjoy the relaxing, walking or cycling. It is also a popular place for bird watchers and nature photographers. Since we live here, nature photography has also become my hobby. Not surprising with 50 different bird species.
The village of Manderfeld, situated on the 'roof' of Belgium at a height of 600 meters, is part of the region called “Treeschland" The village's location in the Our river valley, is ideal for guided snow shoe walking tours across virginal fields of snow and blanketed forests. But foremost, the region is a premier cross country skiing centre. A stone's throw away on the German border, lies the Ardennes Cultur Boulevard. The main attraction, Ars Krippana, is a permanent exhibition of Christmas cribs from around the world. In the exhibition Ars Krippana you will also find Ars Mineralis, a crystal collection. Ars Tecnica, situated in the former customs office, shows everything related to model trains and a large collection of miniature cars.
